Sunshine, Food, and Football: The 2026 UFLX Season Is Officially Underway

Sunshine, food, and football… it’s what Saturdays are made for On January 24th, the UFLX delivered all three as the league hosted its 2026 Jamboree & Media Day, officially kicking off the new season.

Nine UFLX teams took the field in a high-energy jamboree tournament, battling throughout the day with only one team left standing when it was all said and done. When the final whistle blew, it was the Florida Wave hoisting the UFLX Cup, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting 2026 campaign.

One of the biggest storylines of the day came from a new face in the league. Central Florida Blue Devils, competing in their first UFLX event, made an immediate impact by powering their way to the championship game. The Blue Devils proved they belong, pushing the Florida Wave in a hard-fought final before coming up just short.

The stands were packed with fans eager to get their first look at UFLX football in 2026. From kickoff to the final matchup, the energy stayed high as spectators cheered on their teams and caught a preview of what the upcoming season has in store.

Off the field, Varsity Sports Nation (VSN) was on hand for Media Day, interviewing teams and players on topics ranging from season expectations to individual goals, giving fans a deeper look at the personalities and ambitions across the league.
