UFLX PLAYOFFS ARE SET: ROAD TO THE UNIVERSAL BOWL BEGINS MAY 16

The postseason picture is officially locked in for the 2026 Universal Football League Xtreme season. The road to the Universal Bowl in Clearwater officially begins this weekend as the top teams from both conferences battle for a championship.

Universal Conference

The undefeated #1 Georgia Cobras (10-0) earned the top seed and a first-round bye. The Cobras now wait to see who they will host in Round 2.

First Round Matchups

  • #2 Dunedin Highlanders vs #7 Central Florida Golden Eagles
The two teams met twice during the regular season, with the Highlanders winning both matchups. Now the question becomes: can the first-year Golden Eagles pull off the upset when it matters most?
  • #3 Gulf Coast Sun Devils vs #6 Duval Bengals
These two teams never faced off during the regular season, making this one of the most intriguing matchups of opening weekend. With both teams entering unfamiliar territory against each other, this has the potential to be one of the most exciting games of the first round.
  • #4 Tampa Tigers vs #5 Florida Wave
The Tigers and Wave met once during the regular season, with Tampa coming away with a narrow 20-14 victory. With how close the first meeting was, this playoff rematch could end up being one of the most evenly matched games of the entire opening round.

Xtreme Conference

The #1 Miami Bulls secured the top seed and a first-round bye and now await their Round 2 opponent.

First Round Matchups

  • #2 South Vero Beach Fighting Indians vs #7 Knights of Central Florida
These two teams never met during the regular season, but many around the league believe it could have been an instant classic if they had. The Fighting Indians shocked the league this season with their rise near the top of the standings, but now they face a Knights organization led by a veteran coaching staff with playoff experience. Can South Vero Beach keep the magic alive, or will the Knights make the right adjustments and pull off the upset?
  • #3 South Florida Lions vs #6 Ft. Pierce Bengals
The Lions dominated the lone regular season meeting between the two teams, winning 39-8. However, Ft. Pierce enters the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the conference after closing the year on a four-game winning streak. Momentum can change everything in playoff football.
  • #4 Florida Rhinos vs #5 East Coast Sharks
The Rhinos won the lone regular season matchup between the two teams, but the Sharks have proven all season they are a solid and competitive team. With both teams capable of making big plays on either side of the ball, this matchup could truly go either way.

The Universal Bowl is scheduled for June 13, 2026 in Clearwater, Florida as teams now begin their pursuit of a UFLX championship.
