UFLX Welcomes Florida Wave and Brevard County Raptors for 2026 Season

The Universal Football League Xtreme (UFLX) is proud to announce the addition of two new teams for the upcoming 2026 season: the Florida Wave, based out of St. Petersburg, FL, and the Brevard County Raptors, based out of Palm Bay, FL. With their arrival, the UFLX has officially grown to 22 teams.

The Florida Wave enter their third season of competition and are led by owners Safari McElroy and Brian Dowdell. Known for their strong social media presence and detailed YouTube game coverage, the Wave have built a reputation as one of the most well-documented programs in the state. Their commitment to giving players exposure has quickly made them a standout organization, and they now look to bring that same competitive edge into the UFLX as they chase a championship.

The Brevard County Raptors, entering their second season, are led by owners Deshawn and Ashley James. While the Raptors faced their share of challenges in their inaugural year, the organization is determined to turn the corner in 2026. With a renewed focus on performance and a strong commitment to community involvement, the Raptors aim to make an impact both on the field and in Palm Bay.

As the UFLX continues to expand, the additions of the Wave and Raptors further strengthen the league’s mission of creating opportunities for athletes while building a platform for growth, competition, and community connection.
